Probably the most expected is a remake of Dream Drop Distance the 3DS title. It provides the same benefit as all the other collections have offered, centralizing all these bridge titles under one console. Hopefully the choice of these collection also helps the team move forward to keeping future titles under one roof to make it somewhat practical to follow this series.
The Second Game Revealed was Kingdom Hearts X (Chi), the chibi MMO. Turns out even this title had some contribution to the series, taking place in the keyblade war. The most essential piece of revealed information from this game is the reveal of Foretellers of the original Keyblade masters. With this new iteration, we are likely to receive more information on the fortellers, and the traitor among them. Little is known about the foretellers and the traitor but evidence has pushed Xehanort’s original keyblade to be the keyblade of the dark sixth brother. Hopes would be that we finally see the link Xehanort has with the most ancient of Keyblade wielders.
With the subtitle being “Back Cover,” I believe this is an encouraging hint that this section will be primarily story and new information, and we won’t have to deal with yet another spinoff play system.
The most exciting and unpredictable piece however will be the last title “Birth By Sleep .2 -A Fragmentary Passage-.” From the brief scene we gather that it will be Aqua’s time spent in the realm of darkness. However this scene looks to be produced on a modern graphics engine.
We will receive new information, however this could give us a taste of experiencing Kingdom Hearts 3 hands on. With highly updated graphics and the play system left completely to mystery, it would be a wise and moral move to reward fans with something truly substantial and new for waiting for a decade.
Tell us what you guys think, and if you’re excited… at all. If you just want KH3 to be out know what blames you. Just trying to make lemonade out of lemons.
